Summer Contest

This time around we'll be having two contests! A lineart contest and a coloring contest. The Lineart Contest has been extended, and will end on 7/29. Afterwards Oekaki members will choose the winning lineart that will be featured in the Coloring Contest (Which will run from 7/25 to 8/15)

Lineart competition
For the month of June we are holding a Lineart contest. The theme is Summer camp, draw anything relating to the Camp experience.

Rules:

Entries must be in Animation mode
Entries must be drawn at this Oekaki, no uploads
Entries must be clean lineart, with minimal coloring

We'd prefer if you'd post your entries on the 'Color' section of the Oekaki, if you post lineart in the Piggy or Showcase board it will be moved to the Color/Lineart board.
Prizes

1st - Your lineart will be used in the Upcoming Coloring contest, An Illustration of your choice by either GurlNinja or Anime Ami (also your choice).
2nd - An Oekaki of your choice by Either Anime Ami or GurlNinja. (Whichever is available)
3rd - A Medium (600 x 600 pixels or less) Oekaki by the available Moderator.

Judging will commence on June 30th, you will have 10 days to submit your votes, you may Omail Anime_Ami or GurlNinja with your votes.
The entries will be posted here in list form for the Oekaki members to judge. You may not vote for your own entry. Have fun~ If you have any Questions you may Omail one of the aforementioned Admins.

I'd like to direct your attention to that bold-font link on the far right of the leftmost links on the userbar (opposite to the 'Draw!' link). Along with the Rules, there is also basic information about each board.

The Piggy Oekaki is reserved for medium length drawings, meaning anything that will honestly take twenty minutes or more to complete. I'd like to stress that there is no 'class system' on pOnju and that users of all skill levels are encouraged to draw on any board they see fit, but we do require that you put the appropriate amount of effort into your pictures.

Just do what I do, either make no background, or BS it! I like to BS backgrounds. Or make them look trippy... I like the orange turtle neck sweater. <3

Very cute! I really love how you did the hair... looks so curly and wispy, even though the base layer is just a solid colour! Those lines add a lot. Very whimsical and fun, I like it.

This is very ambitious D:

I think maybe you should thin the lines on their shoulders, the thick lines make it look like the other pair of arms is farther behind than it appears. And the lower pairs of breasts seem a little off (but then, they do have three pairs lol) maybe they could be closer together because the arms are obstructing them from falling flat.

This is very interesting and I like that you drew upper arms in a realistic way (I hate it when they're the same width through the whole arm >_< )

I have been, and I have to say that I really don't care for the direction it's been going in. I mean I understand that there are so many great characters to be highlighted on and this grand plot of a new pirate era, but for the love of pete, I want to know how Luffy's crew is fairing & want to see at least some of them reunited! Hell, I don't even remember the name of one of them! the... skeleton guy... too lazy to look it up. This plot twist was all too sudden & the magic is lost. it's just plain damn gone. It's like someone put together a puzzle then took out just enough random pieces to make the whole difficult to appreciate. gaaaah I could go on, but it's healthier not to x_x

but i totally agree with you on missing the rest of the straw hats ): it's great seeing all these kickass new characters, but the whole 'save ace arc' doesn't suit the rest of the series, like you said...
i honestly still love one piece to bits, though! i'm just hoping things return to normal T_T
